LEATHERNECK CLUB MUSEUM
The Leatherneck Club is not only a place for camaraderie, fun, and a place to be with other Marines; it’s also a Museum. Throughout the club there are photos, plaques, retired weapons and memorabilia which document our long and proud military history.
On one special wall there are photos of four young Marines who died in combat within the last decade. This is our way of acknowledging their ultimate sacrifice while keeping their memory alive.
MCL Crater Lake Detachment #373 is the only detachment in the MCL Oregon Department with a bar, clubhouse and such an extensive museum. According to Jim Hale, Oregon Department director of the Marine Corps League, “it’s the oldest and the largest.” Our walls reflect this and document our long and proud legacy. Semper Fidelis!
